Toshiba Thrive makes its way to the UK

Toshiba has announced that the tablet known as the Thrive in the US will be available in UK shops on 1 September, labelled simply as the Toshiba AT100.

The Toshiba Tablet, as it was once known, has fallen into Pocket-lint paws a couple of times in the past - we got hands-on with an early model back in January at CES and got another look in February - and we were led to believe that it was to be called the Regza AT300, with a summer release planned.

Name discrepancies aside, it seems as if Tosh has met its launch deadline, just, and the AT100 will add to the ever growing pile of Honeycomb tablets - although this one does come with Android 3.1 as standard.

But, with rumours mounting that Toshiba may have a super skinny tablet lined up for an IFA release, you may want to sit on the AT100 news for a day or so before splashing your cash. Toshiba's press event over in Berlin takes place on the same day the AT100 hits the shops in the UK.
